I have noted with much interest that other than the construction process of the veterans memorial on Ring Road East, there was no or little mention of Independence Day, July 4, the day we celebrate the 236th anniversary of the founding of this free nation.

The privilege of freedom and security is never free, and patriotism is not a sin.
