Those of us who are teachers, government employees, military or enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid, already have government supported health insurance. We are assured of coverage, and that coverage can’t be dropped for health-related or pre-existing conditions. It is difficult for us truly to appreciate the safety net provided by the Affordable Care Act.
