Jesse Herbert ‘Pete’ Bush
Jesse Herbert “Pete” Bush, 87, died July 12, 2008, at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave.
A native of LaRue County, he was a farmer and a General Electric retiree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.I. Bush and Alice Wells; three sons, Joel David, Charles Stephen and Emmitt Carson; two daughters, Joyce Ann and Rosie Lee; six half-brothers, Harry, Virgil and Henry Willian and Clifford, Walter and Archie Bush; four half-sisters, Bessie Kessinger, Ivy Orrender, Nell Walsh and Nancy Lewis; and one grandson, Douglas Trumbo.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lottie Mae Brackett Bush, two sons, Jesse Jr., and Wayne and his wife, Betty; two daughters, Adeline Chappell and her husband, Garnett, and Ruby Trumbo and her husband, Homer; one sister, Wilma Freeman; 12 grandchildren, Vicki Graham, David Wilkerson, Lesa Leasor, Teresa Thompson, Johnnie Campbell, Jennifer Logsdon, Denna Beamer, Tina Southwood, Sharon Kay Trumbo, Bobby Trumbo, Jamie Bush and Kurt Bush; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Three Forks Bacon Creek Baptist Church in Hart County with Bro. Gordon McDowell and Bro. Jeremy Atwood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Billy Howell Funeral Chapel in Hodgenville and will continue from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Bruford Samuel Torbett
Bruford Samuel Torbett, 81, of Radcliff, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Margitta Dinse Torbett of Radcliff; and two daughters, Susan Torbett and Patricia Swain, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The funeral will be private.
Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
