Dr. Willard Andrew Litzenberger

Dr. Willard Andrew Litzenberger, 88, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Kensington Manor.

A native of Bethlehem, Pa., he was a doctor of internal medicine for 41 years. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Elizabethtown Rotary Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Willard and Virgin Reider Litzenberger; and a brother, Earle Litzenberger.

Survivors include his wife, Constance Litzenberger; three sons, Drew Litzenberger and wife, Virginia, of Asheville, N.C., John Litzenberger and wife, Anna, of Zurich, Switzerland, and Peter Kaukars and wife, Heide, of Frankfurt, Germany; a daughter, Sue Gillis and husband, Doug, of Troutman, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The memorial service is at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Joyce W. Logsdon

Joyce W. Logsdon, 69, of Horse Cave, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Survivors include her husband, Brother Herman Logsdon; a daughter, Loretta Cottrell; and three sons, Randy Logsdon, Phillip Logsdon and Jimmy Logsdon.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. CDT Wednesday at Providence United Baptist Church with burial in Providence Church Cemetery in Horse Cave.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. CDT today at Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville and continues from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT Wednesday at the church.
