Dr. Paul Stephen Armstrong, 61, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen.

Zana James Hatcher Cowherd, 96, of Cecilia, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.
She was a faithful member of Blue Ball Baptist Church for almost 60 years. She never missed a service unless she was sick. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Mission Friends and loved the Women Missionary Union. She loved family, church and, most of all, her Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Simeon Cowherd; her parents, Harry and Lovey Hatcher; three sisters; three brothers; and a son-in-law, Bill Howey.
She is survived by three sons, David Cowherd, James Cowherd and Paul Cowherd and Bonnie, her caregiver for two years, all of Cecilia; a daughter, Neda Howey of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, Bryan and Neil Howey, Bethany Vaughan, Ike Cowherd, Tonya Panknin and Becky Swift; and nine great-grandchildren and two due in December.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday at Blue Ball Baptist Church with the Rev. Arnold Moon and the Rev. Travis Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ball Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2:30 to 8 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Blue Ball Baptist Church Missions.

James Cookie Gardner, 79, of Eustace, Texas, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a retired carpenter and farmer, and a native of LaRue County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Cola Jane Chelf Gardner; and two brothers, Gilbert and Lester Gardner.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Lois Gardner; one daughter, Melissa Gardner; four grandsons, Michael, James, Gordon and Dallas, all of Texas; four sisters, Virginia Crabb of Campbellsville, Vivian Sherrard and Doris Haselwood, both of Hodgenville, and Winnie Yarbrough of Alabama; and two brother-in-laws, H.L. and Buford Givan of Texas.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Billy Howell Funeral Chapel in Hodgenville with Bro. Gerald Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.
Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and will continue after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Joseph Paul Graham
Joseph Paul Graham, 80, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
A Hardin County native, he was retired from the wholesale food business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Nora (Shipp) Graham; a daughter, Nora Kitterman; a brother, Jack Graham; two sisters, Pearl Brawner and Martha Floyd; and a grandson, Michael Graham.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Graham and Shannon Graham, both of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Robin Graham and Laura Graham, both of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Mildred Peters of Cecilia and Nancy (Eddie) Johnson of Elizabethtown; four brothers, Josh (Elizabeth) Graham and Frank (Ethel) Graham, both of Elizabethtown, Homer (Rosemary) Graham of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Vernon (Sue) Skaggs of Louisville; his grandfather; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Edith Graham of Elizabethtown.
A graveside service is at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at East Rhudes Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Curle officiating.

Myrtle Miller, 67, of Irvington, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Survivors include one son, Tim Miller of Indiana; and two daughters, Rebecca Albright, of Irvington, and Vanita Threlkel of Georgia.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington. Burial will follow at Big Spring Baptist Cemetery in Big Spring.
