Obstructionism in action

I note with total disgust that Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives has delayed a vote on offshore oil and natural gas drilling because, as the article says, “they know the Republicans may have the votes to pass it” (“House delays vote on offshore drilling ban,” Page A4, June 25).

Folks, take note of who is standing in the way of lowering our out-of-pocket costs to drive to work and heat our homes. Had the ANWAR bill not been vetoed by President Bill Clinton, we would be getting oil from that source now.
