Teddy Rousseau Bunnell

Teddy Rousseau Bunnell, 62, of Horse Cave, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the VA Medical Center in Louisville.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Spradlin Bunnell.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. CDT Wednesday at Sego Funeral Home in Munfordville. Burial will be in Goodman Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Edith Imogene Watts Churchill

Edith Imogene Watts Churchill, 76, of Radcliff, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at her home.

Edith was born on July 10, 1931, in Kosmosdale, the first of eight children born to Booker T. and Alma Miller Watts. She attended the Jefferson County School System in Louisville, graduating from Central High School in 1949. She professed her love, hope and faith in Jesus Christ by joining Mill Creek Baptist Church and she was a member of Women on Mission there. She was united in matrimony to Richard W. Churchill Jr. in 1949. To this union, seven children were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Richard W. Churchill III. 

Survivors include her husband; six children, Michael Churchill and Ann and Cherylle Coatley, all of Louisville, Anthony Churchill and Kenneth Churchill, both of Radcliff, Gloria Gundy and Lucius of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Monika Knotts and Lester of West Point, N.Y.; two brothers, Booker T. Watts Jr. of Louisville and Norman Watts of Ekron; four sisters, Veloris Hurd, Barbara Watts, Edna Lynum and Joyce Grey, all of Louisville; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mill Creek Baptist Church in Radcliff with Dr. James Shaw officiating. Burial will be in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and continues at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Mill Creek Baptist Church building fund or the donor’s choice.

Joshua Plocica Corbin, 20, was killed Wednesday, June 25, 2008, while serving his country in Iraq.

Survivors include his parents, David and Patty Corbin of Vertrees and Lisa and Keith Thompson of Clarksville, Tenn.; a sister, Brenna Corbin of Clarksville; his grandparents, Linda Jorgenson “Nana” of Elizabethtown, Mike and Georgia True of Clarksville and Lee and Ellen Daniels of Tampa, Fla.; five aunts; four uncles; 15 cousins; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Elizabethtown.   George Eddie Davis Jr.

George Eddie Davis Jr., 52, of Cecilia died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at his home. Arrangements are incomplete at Brown Funeral Home.   Walter ‘Louis’ Druin

Walter “Louis” Druin, 72, of Horse Cave, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife Linda Johnson Druin; five daughters, Rhonda Davenport, Randi Cooksey, Gala Capshaw, Lisa Burden and Laura Gex; and five sons, Rick Druin, Rocky Druin, Rodney Druin, Travis Druin and Steve Frazier.

The funeral was Saturday at Lighthouse Full Gospel Church with burial in Lighthouse Full Gospel Church Cemetery.

Brooks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.   Gwendolyn Faye Dixon Fletcher

Gwendolyn Faye Dixon Fletcher, 52, of West Memphis, Ark., formerly of Upton, died Sunday, June 22, 2008.

Survivors include her husband, Derrick Fletcher; a daughter, Danielle Dixon; two sons, Thomas Dixon and Lamar Dixon; two sisters, Margo Dixon and Harriet Howard; and three brothers, Eugene Dixon, Jerome Dixon and James Dixon.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday at Percell & Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with burial to follow in Jenkins Cemetery in Upton.

Visitation  begins at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.   Phillip Eugene Gardner

Phillip Eugene Gardner, 72, of Radcliff, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at his residence.

Mr. Gardner was retired from the Army having served in Vietnam. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10281.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Gardner of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Kim Elizabeth Gardner of Elizabethtown and Karen Elizabeth Parrett and her husband, James, of Magnolia; and two grandchildren, James Eric Parrett and his wife, Summer, of Elizabethtown and James Lincoln Parrett of Magnolia.

A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation begins at noon Monday at the funeral home.

Clarence Lewis “C.L.” Payne, 72, of Hodgenville, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at his residence.

He was retired from Crucible Steel in Elizabethtown, an employee of Arrowhead Pawn in Hodgenville and was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Bertha Glass Payne; and two sisters, Doris Payne and Betty Rose.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Payne; two daughters, Alice Payne of Elizabethtown and Sue Payne of Hodgenville; a son, Louie Payne and his wife, Melissa, of Hodgenville; a sister, Dixie Todd and her husband, Jackie, of Sonora; a brother, the Rev. Jerry Payne and his wife, Jewell, of Tennessee; four grandchildren, James Warren, Daniel Skaggs, Cory Skaggs and Ashley Payne; and two great-granddaughters, Kayleigh Warren and Addison Skaggs.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Revs. Jerry Payne and Richard Binkley officiating. Burial will follow in the South Fork Cemetery.

Visitation is at 2 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Darlene Kendall Taylor, 58, of Hudson, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at a family member’s home in White Mills. 

She was a native of Jefferson County, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of Unity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Jennie Grimes Kendall, and a brother, Jessie Howard Kendall.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew Taylor Jr. of Hudson; a son, Michael Dewayne Taylor of Hudson; a grandson, Cory Dewayne Taylor of Hudson; two brothers, James Kendall and Louis Kendall, both of Cecilia; six sisters, Virginia Hatfield of Hodgenville, Patricia Kendall of Elizabethtown, Marie Beard of Glendale, Marchitta Sandfer of Cecilia, Elizabeth Meredith of White Mills and Charlotte Kolley of Elizabethtown; and several, nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Roger Stillwell officiating. Burial will be in the Jeffries Family Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
