Margaret Gertrude ‘Gertie’ Boone Cissell

Margaret Gertrude “Gertie” Boone Cissell, 88, of New Haven, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Springfield Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Springfield.

She was born April 26, 1920, in Howardstown. She was a retired self-employed beautician in New Haven after 52 years of service operating Cissell Beauty Shop. She also was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, whom loved her family deeply. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven and the St. Catherine Altar Society.
