The sports complex proposed by the Elizabethtown Tourism Bureau should be paid for by those who prosper from its existence.

Legislation exists to transfer the existing restaurant food tax to a motel room tax.

The food tax is paid primarily by local people, while a room tax is paid primarily by tourists. Let’s elect a city council that will place the sports complex tax where it belongs.
