Kathleen Ransdell Jaggers

Kathleen Ransdell Jaggers, 92, of Elizabethtown, formerly of LaGrange and Upton, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Trimble County and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. She worked at the Bank of Upton and First Hardin National Bank.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George T. and Laura Neal Ransdell; her husband of 43 years, Ralph Jaggers, who died in 1983; two brothers, the Rev. John Ransdell and Dr. Neal Ransdell; two sisters, Corinne Gabbard and Mary Armstrong; and a great-grandchild.

She is survived by one son, Jan R. (Tressella) Jaggers of Louisville; one daughter, Jill Jaggers (Bill) Gibson of Elizabethtown; one brother, George W. (Marie) Ransdell of Osprey, Fla.; two sisters, Laura Hargrove of Louisville and Geneva (Norris) Wright of Bedford; two sisters-in-law, Marguerite Ransdell of Cross Plains, Texas, and Virginia Ransdell of Bowling Green; six grandchildren  and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at Severns Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Langley and John Rice officiating. Burial will be in Upton Cemetery at a later date.
