LEXINGTON – The shot heard around the Commonwealth.

With Kentucky riding a three-game losing streak and its postseason hopes possibly hanging in the balance, junior guard Jodie Meeks – like he has done so many times this season – put his team on his back and hit arguably the biggest shot of the Wildcats’ season.

Coming out of a timeout with 12 seconds remaining, Meeks rushed to the left side of the key and flung up a prayer that was answered. Yes, flung. It wasn’t the usual pretty jump shot Big Blue Nation has grown accustomed to watching.
