Knights celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Johnnie Darrell and Lois Ann Hazlewood Knight of Upton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception given by their family from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Feb. 19, 2011, at Upton Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

They were married Feb. 18, 1961, at Falling Springs Missionary Baptist Church by Brother Clevie Thompson.

Mr. Knight has been a carpenter and farmer all his life and recently retired from Hardin County Schools where he was a bus driver for 22 years.

Mrs. Knight was a homemaker and beautician until 1985, when she began a career with Hardin County Schools as a cook and cashier at Sonora Elementary and East Hardin Middle schools. She retired after 20 years.

They have three children, Jamie Knight and Jana Highbaugh, both of Upton, and Jayne Sheroan of Vine Grove; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

All friends and family are invited attend.

The couple request no gifts.
