Kroger donates $17,400 to Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland

Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland received an Ending Hunger donation of $17,400 from Kroger again this year. The check was presented Sept. 9, at Kroger on Towne Drive in Elizabethtown.

Kroger is one of FAKH’s major retail partners, donating thousands of pounds of food for distribution throughout the 42-county FAKH service area. Additionally, Kroger hosts multiple food drive barrels at its retail locations throughout Kentucky and provides dozens of volunteers to FAKH’s volunteer center.

Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland, feeds more than 125,000 hungry people each year through distribution to more than 220 food pantries in 42 Kentucky counties. FAKH’s main office and warehouses are located on Peterson Drive in Elizabethtown.
