A transportation study released last week by the National Research Council has some state policymakers interested in its possible ramifications.
The study, which analyzed six of the 18 military sites affected by heavy traffic created by the Base Realignment and Closure Initiative, identified ways in which funding could be allocated to help sites, including reallocation of unused stimulus funds for near-term road projects.
