A Leitchfield couple pleaded guilty Tuesday to complicity to manufacture methamphetamine inside a vehicle found in Elizabethtown by counter-drug agents June 16, 2008.

Standing before 9th Circuit Judge Ken Howard, Barbara Jane Hudspeth, 34, and Thomas B. Hudspeth, Jr., 38, admitted guilt to conspiring to cook the illegal stimulant inside a vehicle and distributing a meth precursor.

As a result of the pleas, Thomas Hudspeth will serve 10 years imprisonment and Barbara Jane Hudspeth will serve two years. Both will be credited for 218 days already served in jail.

The pair was indicted in July, a month after Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force agent Chris Thompson charged the Hudspeths and two co-defendants, 24-year-old Nina K. Cooper and 31-year-old Amanda L. Mode, with felony meth-related charges.

The co-defendants were charged with Class D distribution of a meth precursor.
