'Les Misérables' slated as PAC 2013 fall Pro/Am production

“Les Misérables” is the 2013 fall ProAm musical presented at Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center, the center and producing partner Fort Knox Federal Credit Union announced.

The Tony Award-winning musical will be performed Oct. 4-13 at the PAC.
Auditions for the musical are July 15, with details available at www.thepac.net as they develop.

Based on a novel by French author Victor Hugo, “Les Misérables” tells the story of Jean Valjean, a peasant searching for redemption after serving 19 years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread. The play, which is set in early 19th century France, follows Valjean as he and the characters he becomes involved with find themselves enmeshed in revolutionary activities.

PAC ProAm productions feature local amateurs and professionals.

“Les Misérables” debuted on Broadway in 1987 and won eight Tony Awards including best musical.
