Lincoln Birthplace volunteer orientations scheduled

Several orientation training days for individuals wanting to volunteer at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park have been scheduled — starting today.

Classes are limited to eight and those interested must call the park's visitor center at (270) 358-3137 to reserve a spot.
Orientations are today and Friday from noon-4 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon and April 6 from 8 a.m.-noon.

Training includes a tour of the park grounds and facilities as well as the history of the park.
