When outdoor play areas are off limits because of the cold and possible snow, picking up a book can be a cure for winter blues.
The Lincoln Heritage Council/International Reading Association is hosting a literacy festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at John Hardin High School. The event will feature a book fair, presentations, activities and authors and illustrators on hand to promote reading among children.
