The Rev. Kent Litchfield, pastor of Holy Apostles (Anglican) Church is retiring from parish ministry at the end of the year. A priest in the church since 1987, he served in California and in Kentucky after retiring from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1984. He was rector of Christ Church in Elizabethtown from September 1988 until June 2005. While there, he grew the congregation from 75 parishioners to more than 300. He initiated a ministry for those suffering from AIDS and designed programs to assist young people who had suicidal inclinations.
