The Little Caesars Love Kitchen, a pizza kitchen on wheels, has made stops around the United States and Canada over the last 27 years, feeding more than 2 million people.

Today, the Love Kitchen will be in Elizabethtown at Warm Blessings. According to a news release from Little Caesars, the Love Kitchen has made stops in 48 states and four Canadian provinces in “meeting the needs of the hungry, the homeless and disaster survivors.’’

“We are really excited that anybody would want to share such a treat with us,’’ said Linda Funk, Warm Blessings executive board chairwoman. “We appreciate it a lot.’’

The Love Kitchen, which was created in 1985, will be in Elizabethtown at 5:30 p.m. to serve Warm Blessings clientele at the 609 E. Dixie Ave. location. Local Little Caesars franchise owners Mike and Peggy Fink of Elizabethtown and regional offices donate all food and labor costs to the servings, according to the news release.

“I have personally never seen it (the Love Kitchen), but I have heard it was pretty amazing,’’ Mike Fink said. “It should be a lot of fun.

“A lot of our workers will be out there working and we will serve the meal,’’ he added.

Pizza meals are available for approximately 150 people, according to the news release. Funk said that should be plenty of meals.

Fink said he was contacted by Little Caesars about bringing the Love Kitchen here. The pizza parlor on wheels was in Louisville on Thursday, he said.

“We just needed to find a soup kitchen or a place for the needy,’’ Fink said. “We’re looking forward to it.’’
