The Elizabethtown Walk to End Alzheimer’s Oct. 6 at Freeman Lake Park drew 441 participants and raised $32,825 for the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The walk funds local workshops and other support services and supports national research toward treatments and a cure for the disease, which affects 5.4 million Americans, including 80,000 Kentuckians.
