The Elizabethtown Walk to End Alzheimer’s Oct. 6 at Freeman Lake Park drew 441 participants and raised $32,825 for the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The walk funds local workshops and other support services and supports national research toward treatments and a cure for the disease, which affects 5.4 million Americans, including 80,000 Kentuckians. Registration is under way for this year’s walk, set for 10 a.m. Sept. 14 at Freeman Lake Park. For information or to register, visit alz.or/walk or call (502) 451-4266.
