ELIZABETHTOWN — A service dog that escaped from its owner's car at the Elizabethtown Wal-Mart Saturday night was returned to an autistic teen it protects after the animal’s disappearance was reported in Tuesday’s issue of The News-Enterprise.
According to Elizabethtown Police Department spokesman Virgil Willoughby, a teenage girl found the dog in the Wal-Mart parking lot and took the dog to her Vine Grove home where her mother cared for it.
