RADCLIFF — Proceeds from lunch today at the Lunch Box restaurant will benefit a mother and her children who lost nearly everything in a recent fire.
Katheryn Ramirez and her two sons were awakened by the family dog and therefore able to get out of their trailer when it broke into flames June 11.
The community has rallied to provide the family a new place to live and donate furniture and clothes. The Hardin County Chapter of the American Red Cross provided emergency assistance and is accepting donations at its office at 405 W. Dixie Ave., Elizabethtown.
Those interested in helping also can call Jim Leonard at (270) 304-7175.
