Man charged with abuse of a child

RADCLIFF — A Radcliff man was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a child.
Hayden Nicholas Mitchell, 27, was arrested and is lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
According to a Radcliff Police Department news release, Mitchell was sleeping in a bed with a 6-year-old female and is accused of placing a hand on the child’s private parts.
According to the arrest citation, Radcliff police say after Mitchell was read his rights, he admitted to investigators that he had in fact committed the crime he is charged with.
If found guilty of the Class C felony, Mitchell could be sentenced to as many as 10 years in jail.
