Martha Inez ‘Boots’ Roberson

Inez “Boots” Roberson passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, after an extended illness. 

During her life she had many careers. Her first career was with Swope Motors Inc. of Elizabethtown for 39 years. Her second career was as a volunteer librarian at St. James Catholic School for seven years. But, her greatest and most loved career was as a grandmother who was better known as “Cookie” by her grandchildren, Luke and Lee Roberson and Summer London. She loved watching her son coach and both grandsons play soccer. She was their greatest fan. Her loyalties were also to University of Kentucky as an avid basketball fan. Gardening and walking were her hobbies. She loved to travel with the Lee family and with her dear friend Ida.

“As our mother begins her next career, she will be deeply missed by her children,” Flint Roberson and Diana Best; her children’s spouses, Julia Roberson and Gene Best; her grandchildren; and her beloved Kylee.

The family would like for you to please consider a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Society for continuation of research for this disease.
