Matherlys celebrate 50th anniversary

William and Carolyn Matherly of Clarkson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their wedding vows from 2 to 4 p.m., Dec. 12, 2010, at Central Avenue Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. The ceremony will be performed by the Rev. Fred Whitmore of Leitchfield, who also performed the renewal of vows for their 25th wedding anniversary.
They were married Dec. 2, 1960, at Memorial United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown by the Rev. Jacob Dye, uncle of the groom.
