Mattingly - Helmkamp

Robert K. “Little John” Mattingly of Loretto announces the engagement of his daughter, Diane Lynn Mattingly of Elizabethtown, to Dr. Richard Criss Helmkamp of Brandenburg, son of Helen Helmkamp of Lafayette, Ind., and the late John Helmkamp.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of the late Janice Mattingly. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she majored in photojournalism and English. She is a human resources specialist at the U.S. Army Human Resources Command at Fort Knox and is a soldier in the U.S. Army Reserve.

The prospective groom received a PhD in anthropology from Purdue University and is a cultural resources manager with the U.S. Army Garrison at Fort Knox.

A private wedding is Feb. 16, 2013, in Loretto with a reception to follow.
