Rosie Mae Ferguson

Rosie Mae Ferguson, 80, of Vine Grove, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at her home.

She was a member of Vine Grove Baptist Church, where she was a nursery attendant for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Ferguson; two sisters, Martha Lee Grimes and Frances Jeanette Atcher; and two brothers, William Birchel Borders and Amos Gilbert Borders.

Survivors include five sons, Larry Junior Ferguson and his wife, Ibeah, of Vine Grove, Clifford Lee Ferguson and his wife, Judy, of Rineyville, Henry Steven Ferguson of Vine Grove, James Clinton Ferguson of Lexington and Todd Neal Ferguson of San Diego; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rose Ann and Arnold Johnson of Rineyville and Carolyn Jean and Bobby Cecil of Irvington; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove with the Rev. Ron Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Vine Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today and continues at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Bill Whitfield

Bill Whitfield, 72, of Leitchfield, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Whitfield; a son, Chad Whitfield; two stepsons, Jim Flaugher and Thad Flaugher; and a stepdaughter, Connie Childress.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. CDT Sunday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Chapel in Clarkson with cremation to follow.

Visitation begins at 3 p.m. CDT Saturday at the funeral home.
