Meet the prosecutors of the Ninth Circuit Commonwealth Attorney's office

Shane Young’s staff is the same size as the current commonwealth attorney’s staff. They take office Jan. 1.

Young said he “handpicked” his staff, which includes four full-time prosecutors and two part-time.

As he approached attorneys, Young looked for lawyers of different backgrounds who possessed “good courtroom presence,” he said.

Nearly all of the attorneys on staff have experience prosecuting and defending, which Young said allows them to see “both sides of the fence.”
