Merian Grace Johnson, 87, of Radcliff, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Radcliff United Methodist Church. Mrs. Johnson was a mother, homemaker and a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Willie Johnson; her parents, Ernest and G. Paulene “Grammy” Young Carryer; a sister, Edna Tosten; and a brother, Richard Carryer.
Survivors include nine children, James W. (Vera) Johnson of St. Augustine, Fla., Samuel L. Johnson Sr. of Louisville, David G. (Marsha) Johnson of Chambersburg, Pa., Robert E. (Diane) Johnson of Radcliff, Merianne G. Johnson of Radcliff, James E. (Stephanie) Johnson of Summersville, Samuel L. (Keysha) Johnson Jr. of Dickson, Tenn., Rebecca (Kevin) Myers of Lebanon and Willie (Brittany) Johnson of Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral was Monday, Jan. 16, at the chapel of Dixon-Atwood & Trowbridge Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Nathan Whisnant officiating.
