Recent news that the football series between Elizabethtown High School and Central Hardin High School has been put on hold is disappointing on many fronts.

For student-athletes and fans of both schools, there is a built-in rivalry that has existed since CHHS opened in 1990.

It has been a good football rivalry that has been fairly balanced over its 23-year history. Central Hardin holds a 14-9 series lead with wins in the last four meetings.
