Needham stepping down as governor’s military liaison

After decades of government service, retired Col. Mark Needham is moving to the private sector.

Needham, special assistant to the governor on BRAC and executive director of the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs, is stepping down from both roles in June, Gov. Steve Beshear confirmed last week.

Beshear said he has met with Needham about the decision and his departure will be deeply felt.
