ELIZABETHTOWN — Byron Nelson, a six-year member of the Hardin County Schools board, resigned his position Thursday at a board meeting.
Nelson announced his resignation at the regular meeting. He said if a member of his family wanted to work in the district, he could not be a board member. He wanted to leave that option open for them.
“I appreciate my time here,” he said. “It’s been fun.”
