New Horizon Baptist Fellowship is planning a mission trip to Alabama on June 10-11 to assist and aid those who have been victims of recent tornadoes that swept through the region. This is a community-wide effort to assist people in and around the Gadsdan, Ala., area. The church is taking an 18-wheeler loaded with supplies.
For anyone in the community who would like to donate supplies, items needed include: personal items for women, men and children, including underclothing, but no other clothing; canned food and staples (but no outdated food); Rubbermaid stackables (pull-out drawers for personal items to be stored in); lumber and building supplies; water; cash donations (make checks out to New Horizon Baptist Fellowship and mark them for Alabama Mission); toys and candy for children; diapers, baby food, etc. If bringing supplies to the church, call in advance to make sure someone will be there to accept the supplies.
Call Steve Hill, pastor, at 737-4386. The church is at 864 W. Rhudes Creek Road in Glendale.
