A student in the North Hardin High School color guard was transported Thursday to Hardin Memorial Hospital with symptoms of heat exhaustion.
North Hardin Principal Bill Dennison said the band member was practicing outside with the guard Thursday morning for about 60 to 90 minutes. Students came inside before noon and had been inside about 20 to 30 minutes when the girl said she did not feel well.
Two parent volunteers who are nurses attended to her before an ambulance arrived. She was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital around 11:30 a.m., Dennison said.
