Lois Crutcher, 69, of Elizabethtown, passed from this life in the arms of her husband while on the way home from their cruise to Hawaii, on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010.
She resided in Hardin County and was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Flaherty. Lois was the former owner of Crutcher’s Carpet Cleaning and Janitorial Service in Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stoy and Della Barnes; a sister, Blanche Taylor; and a daughter, Cheryl Ann.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Crutcher; six daughters, Debbie (Andy) Straight of Glendale, Sandy (Mitchlet) Saget of Elizabethtown, Pam (Matthew) Powell of Bristol, Va., Darlene (Paul) Robinson and Dianne (Sandy) Hummel, all of Rineyville, and Renee (Mark) Emerson of Hodgenville; one son, James Crutcher of Jeffersonville, Ind.; a sister, Kathleen Vittotow of Boston; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Anita B. Hedges, 88, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, in Searcy, Ark.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence “Stubby” and Louise Booth; her husband, Hal Hedges; and two sisters, Lillian Davis and Dorothy Long.
She is survived by a sister, Jean Constant, and a brother, Tommy and Norma Bauer of Kentucky; a daughter, Elizabeth and Tony Raney of Arkansas; two sons, Steven and Keith Hedges of Florida; three grandsons, Joshua, Logan and Austin; and a host of loving family members and friends.
A private service will be held in Kentucky.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.

Stephen F. Pike, 58, of Rineyville, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Hardin County and a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a member of Vine Grove Knights of Columbus Council No. 3379. He served in the United States Army and was a welder at Altec Industries.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilary Lambert and Theresa Marie Jenkins Pike.
He is survived by his wife, Marian E. “Mimi” Pawley Pike; two daughters, Stephanie (Chris) Day of Louisville and Lena (Matt) Rodriguez of New York City; a son, Adam (Heather) Pike of Richfield, Pa.; four brothers, Kenny Pike, Fred (Carmel) Pike and Bobby (Gail) Pike, all of Rineyville, and Sam (Joy) Pike of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Deborah (Ronnie) Foushee of Guston and Denise (Bob) Burden of Louisville; and four grandchildren, Jacob and Caitlin Day, Ava Graybill, and baby Day to be born on Nov. 29, 2010.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating. Burial will follow at Rineyville Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues after 9 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A prayer vigil service is at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Bruce Valentine Young, 75, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Woodland Terrace Health Care in Elizabethtown.
Retired Sgt. 1st Class Young was a proud American. He retired from the U.S. Army and was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam. Sgt. 1st Class Young was a member of Barker Lodge No. 129 in West Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Janet Young; and a son, Bruce Young.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Ann Young of Elizabethtown; a son and his wife, Charles Richard and Jena Young of Portsmouth, Mass.; a grandson, Bruce Young; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Young; a brother, Robert Young of Boston; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Ryan of Warren, Vt., and Florence Forster of Washington, D.C.
The funeral service is at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with Maj. and Mrs. Ed and Florence Forster officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Monday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home.

Lemuel James Young Jr., 92, of Radcliff, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elizabethtown.
Retired Sgt. 1st Class Young was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired from civil service work at Fort Knox after his military career.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Young.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Denise DeRamos of Radcliff and Samuel and Gia Marie Young of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Josephine McKinney of Radcliff; five grandsons, John DeRamos Ballard, Donald Copeland, Marvin Young, Peter Young and Aaron Harp; seven granddaughters, Crystal McKinney, Anita McKinney, Jennifer Abell, Jana DeRamos Ballard, Samantha Young, Leeanna Brown and Stephanie Harp; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service is at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff. Burial will follow with military honors in St. Patrick Cemetery in Fort Knox.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
