Harley Eugene Beard
Harley Eugene Beard, 73, of Radcliff, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Louisville.

Janet Clair Beatty
Janet Clair Beatty, 74, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

 Willis E. ‘Shorty’ Campbell
Willis E. “Shorty” Campbell, 86, of Corbin, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
The son of the late George B. and Lela Hubbard Campbell, he was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Gray. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and was a retired switchman with L&N Railroad. He was a member of the 11th Airborne and the Chili Club at White’s Billiards.
He was preceded in death by his father, George B. Campbell; his mother, Lela Hubbard Campbell; a daughter, Patricia A. Skinner; a brother, Herman Campbell; and a sister, Henriann Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Vernice Helton Campbell of Corbin; a son, Rocky Campbell (Debbie) of Elizabethtown; a brother, George Campbell of Denver; two sisters, Maxine Brewer of Louisville and Gail Haggard of Corbin; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Corbin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family of Willis E. “Shorty” Campbell will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Corbin Funeral Home.

Robert Cameron Chelf
Robert Cameron Chelf, 55, of Winder, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.
Mr. Chelf was born on July 23, 1955, in Rushville, Ind., a son to Mrs. Joanna Hurd Chelf of Winder and the late Mr. Harvey Lane Chelf. Mr. Chelf was a 1974 graduate of LDF High School in Le Grand, Iowa, and worked for Deceased Pet Care in Dacula, Ga.
Survivors include his mother; his son, James Robert Chelf of Winder; a daughter, Victoria K. Afuya of Marhsalltown, Iowa; a sister and brother-in-law, Victoria and Stanley McDaniel of Winder; and two grandchildren, Blake Michael Wright and Aaliyah Nichole Afuya, both of Marshalltown.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Evans Funeral Home in Jefferson, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.

Fanny Ditto, 64, of Irvington, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010.
Survivors include six children, Terra, Dion, Chris, Junbug, Minnie and Margaret.

Ira Goodman Jr., 78, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Goodman.

Danny Dewayne Houston
Danny Dewayne Houston, 57, of Rineyville, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at his residence.
He was a native of Wartrace, Tenn., a U.S. Army veteran and a Sara Lee route man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lucille Helton Houston.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Debbie Mayo Houston; a stepson, Shawn Saltmarsh and his wife, Evelyn, and grandson, Seth Saltmarsh, all of Rineyville; one son, Daniel Houston of Wartrace; one daughter, Cassandra Burkhart of Denver;  two sisters, Linda Elkins of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Debbie Brown of Wartrace; Priscilla Mayo of Tilton, N.H., George and Mary Ellen Duncan of Franklin, N.H., Maurice and Joyce Mayo of Gaffney, S.C., and Bruce and Dawn Mayo of Palmetto, Fla.
There is a graveside service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Louise Michaels Misener O’Bryan
Louise Michaels Misener O’Bryan, 86, of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Kensington Manor.
She was born in Jefferson County but spent most of her years in Niagara Falls modeling. She was an avid golfer and gardener.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ora Young; and a son, the Rev. Eddie Holthouser.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Holthouser of Niagara Falls; a grandson, Larry (Heather) Holthouser of Glendale; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Caitlyn and Hannah Holthouser; a great-great-grandchild, Benjamin Holthouser; a special friend, Carolyn Ritchie of Elizabethtown; and a dear friend, Fran Dye of Corona Del Mar, Calif.
A memorial service is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Gary Chapman officiating.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Patricia Katherine Patricelli
Patricia Katherine Patricelli, 39, of Hodgenville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Survivors include four children, Giovanni Patricelli of Seattle and Anthony O. Reece, Gabriella Reece and Francesca Reece, all of Hodgenville; her father, Lawson Kaler of Washington; her mother, Kathy Patricelli of Washington; and a longtime companion, Donnie Reece of Hodgenville.
Cremation was chosen by the family.

Donald Paul Riggs, 48, of New Haven, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at his residence.

Lina Sue Thomas, 68, of Cecilia, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at her residence in Cecilia.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Mayme (George) McGuffin; and a great-grandchild, Christopher Harney.
She is survived by four sons, Jeff (Judy) Thomas of Elizabethtown, Steven (Charlotte) Thomas of Cecilia, David (Debbie) Thomas of Rineyville, and Timmy (Teresa) Thomas of Elizabethtown; four brothers, Jessie McGuffin, Jackie (Elma) McGuffin and the Rev. Roger (Barbara) McGuffin, all of Elizabethtown, and Vernie (Jeanie) McGuffin of Cecilia; two sisters, Teresa (Danny) Helm of Magnolia and Diana (Greg) Williams of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Revs. John Clark and Roger McGuffin officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. today and continues from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Brandon Jamarr Thornton, 28, of Munfordville, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at his residence.

Betty Jean Thompson Young, 66, of Big Clifty, formerly of Hodgenville and Gleanings, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Ray Thompson.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with cremation to follow the services.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday and beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
