Cooperation trumps polarization
It was disheartening for me to read a letter in Thursday’s edition of The News-Enterprise, titled “No white flags.”
When President George W. Bush won re-election in 2004, with a bit smaller popular vote than President Barack Obama’s, he let it be known that his victory gave him political capital. In that spirit I would remind the writer that Obama has been freely re-elected by a majority.
