No new taxes for magistrates
In response to the editorial in the paper Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, regarding the question of magistrates verses commissioners that will appear on all Hardin County ballots Nov. 4, I congratulate the editor for looking at both sides of this issue and supporting the vote.
The issue to change to commissioners was on the ballot four years ago, but the commissioners were only voted into office two years ago, so we’ve only had two years to evaluate the performance of this system and the current commissioners.
