The choice is yours

I attended the forum on Obamacare on Oct. 8 at Nolin RECC in Elizabethtown and my head is still swimming from all that I heard.

While it was presented in a nonpartisan manner, there was still a great deal which caused me concern. It seems there were more questions than answers as to what coverage will be available what it will cost, and how many will be left uncovered.

What was certain was the many taxes that will spring up to fund Obamacare such as the tax on medical devices. One doctor present pointed out with the sharp cuts scheduled for care provider reimbursements for Medicare and Medicaid, that there would be many doctors who would have to stop seeing people in those programs.

I was feeling discouraged until one of the presenters said, “Much of what will happen depends on who wins the election.”

After I got home I went onto the Internet to www.mitt

romney.com/health-care to see what the Republican alternative is. If elected, Mitt Romney will issue waivers to all 50 states on his first day in office. Then he would work with Congress to fully repeal Obamacare as quickly as possible. With that done, Romney would work with Congress to set up a plan that helps markets work with a level playing field for competition. The goals for his new plan would be to restore state leadership and flexibility, promote free markets and fair competition, and empower consumer choice.

So the choice to me seems clear, do you want a health plan where you make the decisions or one where the government makes them for you?

I know what my choice will be, which is why I will be voting for Mitt Romney as our next president.
