Political machinations
Here we are less than one month from election day and the latest report from the Bureau of Labor shows a small increase of 114,000 jobs and a sharp drop of the unemployment rate to 7.8 percent. Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric, immediately stated that the numbers had to be “cooked.” There also have been questions as to why the Bureau of Labor had changed the way they counted part time workers and how they revised July and August figures upward for government employees.
