Hardin County Attorney Jenny Oldham on Friday said a Kentucky League of Cities opinion on the county’s solid waste management plan is not an accurate depiction of state law.
In a letter to Radcliff City Attorney Michael Pike, Oldham said the city retains the right to prepare its portion of the plan but said the law only applies to collection and does not give the city authority to implement a plan that is not consistent with the county’s portion.
“The KLC opinion was not a full reading of the statute,” she said.
