Oliver
Kristen Joy Ogle and Benjamin Jordan Oliver, both of Birmingham, Ala., were married March 22, 2008, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Auburn, Ala., with Jeff Young officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Ogle of Auburn, Ala, and the granddaughter of Vivian Woodfin Gover of Athens, Ala., and Naomi Cummings Ogle of Decatur, Ala., and the late King Charles Gover and Hobert Harold Ogle.
The groom is the son of Patsy Hood Shuford of Gurley, Ala., and Martin Eric Oliver of Antioch, Tenn., formerly of Elizabethtown, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Rudolph Oliver of Elizabethtown and Mr. and Mrs. Venson Clettie Hamm of Hamilton, Ala., and the late Ellie Jr. Hood.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Jessica Leigh Golden of Birmingham; matrons of honor were Katherine Boyd Compton of Birmingham and Anna Linley Higginbotham, cousin of the bride, of Decatur; bridesmaids were, Kristin Jordan Bentley of Montgomery, Ala.; Alyson Marie Oliver, sister of the groom, of Athens, Leslie Nelson McElheny, Kimberly Crosby Sprayberry, Amy Addison Stacy and Amy Elizabeth Woodruff, all of Birmingham; honorary bridesmaids were Christina Rouse Brannen of Athens and Elizabeth Marie Maner of Birmingham.
Best man was Eric Graham Oliver, brother of the groom; groomsmen were, Clint Stephen Abbott, Thomas Adam Cole, Daniel Patton Ogle, brother of the bride, Jason Michael Rogers and Mark Edwards Rogers, all of Birmingham, Seth Levi Palmer and Zackary Lee Cameron of Decatur, Justin David Smith of Greenville, S.C., Mathew Jordan Lovell of Prattville, Ala., and Ryan Nathan Moll of Bentonville, Ark.
Keepers of the guest register were Lucy Bracht, of Auburn, and Emily and Lauren Gover, cousins of the bride, both of Falkville, Ala.
Music was provided by vocalists Lisa Oliver Gray, aunt of the groom, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Elizabethtown, Glinda Ogle Blackshear, aunt of the bride, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; David Higginbotham and Lori Neville, both of Decatur, and Syble Coats, organist, of Tuscaloosa.
A reception was held at Fountainview Mansion in Auburn. Hope Elizabeth Hendriks of Decatur and Taylor McKenzie Godwin of Auburn served as reception flower girls.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Birmingham.
