Optimist Club of Radcliff awards scholarships

The Optimist Club of Radcliff awarded seven scholarships in the amount of $500 each to students in the local community. Six of the scholarships were awarded by the club and one was awarded by Maria Batistoni, board director with the Optimist Club of Radcliff, called the “Batistoni Communication Scholarship.” The recipients of the scholarships, along with club members, are: back row, from left, Jeremy Emmerling of FAITH Home School; Jarod Wilson of Elizabethtown High School; and Tyler Casey of John Hardin High School, front row, Maria Batistoni, club member; Alik Rucker of North Hardin High School (recipient of Batistoni Communication Scholarship); Trevino Coney of North Hardin High School; Teria Martinez of North Hardin High School; Bria Hays of John Hardin High School; and Esta Pigg, Scholarship chair.
