ELIZABETHTOWN — A quarter of a pound separated Kevin Snider from an even bigger payday Saturday.
Competing in the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League All-American championship on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Ark., Snider finished with a three-day total of 20 pounds, 9 ounces — four ounces shy of a $100,000 payday.
Instead, Snider won $50,000 and a Ranger 198VX bass boat worth $40,000 as the highest-finishing Ranger Cup participant.
