ELIZABETHTOWN — A Pennsylvania man was taken into police custody before dawn Monday after a chase of a vehicle reported stolen traversed Interstate 65 and county roads.

According to Elizabethtown police, a 2001 Pontiac MPV sped away from an attempted traffic stop shortly after 3 a.m. Monday. Pennsylvania plates on the vehicle came back as stolen, police said.

The pursuit went southbound on the interstate and onto Lincoln Parkway, then onto county roads, before ending when “stop sticks” were deployed on Round Top Road, bringing the Pontiac to a stop.

Mark S. Kolish, of Cabot, Pa., was taken into custody on multiple counts of wanton endangerment, DUI, resisting arrest, receiving stolen property and traffic offenses.

He was jailed at the Hardin County Detention Center and is due in court later this month on the charges.
