Runners take part in the first local Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run on Sunday in Radcliff. Some participants ran in turn-out gear.
The run is named in honor of Stephen Siller, a Brooklyn firefighter. He heard of the tragedy unfolding at the World Trade Center retrieved his gear and headed to the towers. When he reached the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, it was closed to traffic, and he finished the rest of the journey to the towers on foot with all of his gear.
