Photos: Honoring the historic Helm family

Steve Lindsey, portraying Gov. John LaRue Helm, admires the newly placed markers at the Helm Cemetery on Saturday morning. The markers give a brief history of the family and are mounted outside the stone walls of the cemetery behind Helmwood Veterinary Clinic on North Dixie Avenue.

Years later the family had the body brought back to Kentucky and placed in the family cemetery.
