A news conference today will unveil plans regarding improved rail service on a line that runs between Louisville and western Kentucky. That line provides service to Fort Knox.
The announcement by Paducah & Louisville Railway said approximately 290 construction-related jobs will be created by the project as well reliable freight rail service and enhance public safety, according to the news release.
The announcement will be made at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Elizabethtown Tourism and Convention Bureau at 1030 N. Mulberry St.
